    Description

    Apt Resources is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated European Purchasing Coordinator/Manager to join the team of a foodstuff trading company. As the European Purchasing Coordinator/Manager, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing food products from European suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining high-quality standards. You will play a key role in developing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and coordinating the procurement process.

    We are looking for a candidate who has a deep understanding of the European market and food industry trends. Strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential for this role.

    Responsibilities

    • Identify and source European suppliers for food products
    • Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers
    • Coordinate and manage the procurement process from order placement to delivery
    • Ensure timely delivery of products and resolve any delivery issues
    • Maintain accurate purchasing records and monitor inventory levels
    • Review and analyze supplier performance and implement improvements as needed
    • Stay updated with market trends, new products, and industry developments

    Requirements

    • Proven experience as a Purchasing Coordinator/Manager in the food trading, import, export industry
    • Fluency in English and knowledge of other European languages is a plus
    • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
    • Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with cross-functional departments
    • Understanding of procurement processes, supply chain management, and international trade regulations
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software
    • Willingness to travel as required
