    Description

    The Manager will workwith the Tamil Nadu School Education Department to support anddrive extra-curricular school clubs across the state. They willalso manage resources, schedules, financials, issues, risks andproject change requests, to ensure successful and on-time delivery.This person will be responsible for managing all operational needsfor the project, and for coordinating with internal and externalstakeholders on a dailybasis.

    Thisopening is for the identified focus area of extra-curricularactivities for government and aided schoolstudents.

    Primaryresponsibilities:

    • Fullproject lifecycle ownership - from initiation, understandingrequirements, and delivery for multiple projects spanningidentified focusareas.
    • Developstrong working relationships with state government officials, andact as an interface between key stakeholders (Government officials,Bhumi, partners anddonors)
    • Ensurethe overall programme is aligned to and directly supports theachievement of goals and objectives of thestate.
    • Prepareestimates and detailed project plans for all phases of theproject.
    • Trackday-to-day project activities and operational needs, manageresources and provide regular status updates to the leadership teamon project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks andissues.
    • Manageproject scope and any required changes by collaborating with allstakeholders.
    • Focuson continuously improving processes and methods to achieve desiredresults.

    • Coach,mentor and manage a team, focusing on sound project and programmemanagementprinciples.
    • Establishpolicies and best practices for the team and the organization tofollow.

    EducationQualification /Experience:

    • Post-graduate(MBA orMPP/MPA)
    • Totalof 8-10 years of work experience, including 3-5 years ofpost-graduation workexperience.
    • Experiencewith project and people management isrequired.
    • Experienceworking with the government and in the education sector isdesirable.
    • Fluencyin Tamil and English isrequired.
