    Description
    • To implement a flexible heartistbase, with the right mix full timeheartists.
    • To allocate heartists over thedepartment based on established business levels for thatday.
    • To represent the Finance Department on thehotel's Executive Committee in absence of the Director ofFinance.
    • To support heartist needs in otherdepartments based on the hotel priorities and anticipated businesslevels.
    • To perform all duties as designated bythe Director of Finance and be able to carry out the functions ofthe department during the absence of Director ofFinance.
    • To ensure that relevant supportingdocuments of daily transactions are completed and have beenverified for the Director of Finance and GeneralManager's review and signature.
    • Toassist the Director of Finance in implementing and streamlining theinternal control procedures (FOCUS Audit) covering all activitiesof the hotel.
    • To assist the Director of Financein all stages leading to the preparation of all monthly financialreports and analysis.
    • To conduct spot checks ofGeneral Cashier fund and other house floats (at least once onGeneral Cashier and 10% of the other house funds in a month) and toreport differences to the Director ofFinance.
    • To assist in the preparation ofspecial statistical reports which may be required by localmanagement, government authorities and RegionalOffice.
    • To assist the Director of Finance incompiling departmental budgets, forecast and businessplan.
    • To assist the Heads of the Departments indecision-making by providing relevant financialdata.
    • To be fully acquainted with the Pullmanaccounting system, it's Policies and Procedures and thoseof the hotel.
    • To ensure that each section ofthe Finance Department is managed efficiently, maximizingutilization of Technology.
    • To supervise theIncome Auditor in auditing the operation of the hotel'srevenue generating departments.
    • To assist theDirector of Finance in ensuring that all revenue generatingdepartments on their operating procedures so as to achieveeffective internal control to ensure all the hotel'srevenue is being recognized and recorded.
    • Toassist the Director of Finance in liaising with MaterialsManagement Section on the operating procedures so as to achieveeffective internal control to minimizecosts.
    • To supervise the Accounts Payable in alltask in the month end closing and to check the financial reportsbefore forwarding for review by the Director ofFinance.
    • To supervise the Credit Manager inensuring that all precautionary measures have been implemented andall the outstanding debts are collected on a timely basis tominimize bad debts as far as possible.
    • To bedemanding and critical when it comes to departmentalstandards.
