    Government Communications Director - Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates - MCG Talent

    • StrategyDevelopment: Design and implement a comprehensivecommunications strategy that aligns with the goals of thegovernmental department oragency.
    • MediaRelations: Build and maintain relationships withmedia representatives. Handle press releases, respond to mediainquiries, organize press briefings, and other relatedevents.
    • Public AwarenessCampaigns: Coordinate campaigns to inform the publicabout various initiatives, policies, and services. This mightinvolve partnering with other governmental agencies or externalorganizations.
    • CrisisCommunications: Develop and implement strategies formanaging communication during crises, ensuring accurate and timelyinformationdissemination.
    • StakeholderEngagement: Engage with various stakeholders,including community leaders, businesses, other government entities,and the general public, to foster a positive relationship anddialogue.
    • InternalCommunications: Manage internal communications toensure that employees are informed about agency news, updates, anddirectives.
    • Digital &Social Media: Oversee the agency's onlinepresence, including official websites, social media platforms, andother digital communicationmethods.
    • ContentCreation: Lead the creation and distribution ofwritten, video, and photo content that aligns with thegovernment's communicationstrategy.
    • Monitoring andReporting: Monitor public sentiment and mediacoverage related to governmental activities, and provide reportsand insights to top-levelofficials.
    • TeamLeadership: Lead, mentor, and develop thecommunications team, ensuring optimal performance and professionalgrowth.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree inCommunications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.Master's degree or relevant postgraduate qualificationpreferred.
    • Extensive experience in a seniorcommunications role, preferably within a governmental or publicsector context.
    • Strong understanding ofgovernmental operations, political sensitivities, and public policyissues.
    • Exceptional written and verbalcommunication skills, with the ability to tailor messages fordiverse audiences.
    • Familiarity with digitalcommunication platforms, including social media, content managementsystems, and analytics tools.
    • Strong leadershipqualities and a demonstrated ability to manage high-performingteams.
    • Experience in crisis communication andreputation management.
    • Strong networkingskills, especially in engaging with media and variousstakeholders.
