    PositionSummary
    Providesupport to New Product Development Core Team, Process Engineering,Production, and other technical teams, and customers by advising inthe areas of high speed reel-to-reel stamping, process andtechnology development, in accordance with department strategy and

    Define,plan, and execute new process/tooling deliverables, including DFM,PFMEA, simulation, and tooling buy-off trial ; Communicate FAI/Cpkdeliverables and Trial-Run results via reports and

    JobResponsibilities
    NewProduct/ProcessDevelopment
    oProvide expert advice, actively participating in New Product Designactivity on DFM, FMEA, design inputs, suggestion with respect toreel-to-reel progressive stamping
    oPerform new product design review, optimize stamping tool layoutdesign, and provide stamping layout design to New Product Designteam with intent on optimizing tooling efficiency and
    oResponsible for development of high quality stamping dies andprocesses that meet production, part quality and costgoals
    oFollow up on Die design review and fabrication in accordance withdevelopment schedule to support product ramp up
    oCoordinate with tooling team for tooling Design, Debug/FOT andqualify the production tooling in accordance with OEE, Yieldrequirement and Die tooling transfer toproduction
    oCoordinate with supplier for mold specification, quotation, review,follow up, FAI closure and other technicalissues
    oDocument and update new tool design drawings, FAI/Cmk, and othertool buyoff trial run Publish key technical learning; publishrecommended practice for future NPD risk reduction,
    oConstantly keeping abreast and exploration of new Technologies /Innovation in stamping tool; managing implementation intoproduction for reducing cost, quality, and optimizing
    oSupport Stamping production in terms of Die/Tool improvements andpre-productionruns
    oOther duties as assigned byManagement

    Requirements


    oCandidate must possess at least a Diploma or Bachelors Degree inMechanical Engineering, Tool/Die Engineering orequivalent
    oAt least 10 years of experience in Stamping Tool Design,fabrication and development of high speed reel-to-reel stampingtool for connectorindustry
    oProcession of working knowledge and k ey know-how on latest newhigh speed stamping technology would be an
    oTeam player; must be able to synergize with New Product R&DDemonstrated past experience in solving challenging technical issueassociated with complex connector
    oProficient in 2D/3D CAD software and other software tool specificto stamping/tool/die
    oPossess good knowledge in metal forming and die making / diemaintenance
    oAble to communicate effectively with cross-geographical supplierbase in China; written and
