    We are looking for a startup coachfor our agritech and foodtech You will be their point of contact,advisor, and ecosystem connector, guiding them in their endeavourtoward seed stage

    What will you do?

    As biotope is a new initiative with a small team, we arelooking for a real octopus who loves to work on a multitude ofactivities and adapts to provide hands-on support where You willhave an important role in the biotope team that originated from theVIB offices and VIB Agro-Incubator in the Ghent

    Your main tasks will include:

    • Supporting biotech startups during theirbiotope journey until seed financing and beyond in a proactivesupportive and hands-on way
    • Scouting andconvincing potential startup candidates and partners
    • Identifying the scientific and businesschallenges and assisting the entrepreneurs in creating value,making connections, and setting up collaborations
    • building relationships with the VIB andbiotope ecosystem that benefit each startup
    • Creating awareness for biotope by VIB byactively participating in relevant networking events andconferences in the local and international entrepreneurialecosystem
    • Guarantee diversity and impactthroughout all communication andrepresentations

    Who areyou?

    You:

    • Getenergized by really helping individual startup teams forward andenjoy being their trustee, answering their questions, advisingthem, and connecting them with other players in the biotopeecosystem
    • Have a master s degree in sciences,life sciences or bio-engineering
    • Have severalyears of relevant working experience in either industry, as anentrepreneur or at the interface of agritech and/or foodtech and/orentrepreneurship, preferably in an internationalecosystem
    • Have a strong interest in follow-uptrends and innovations in the field
    • Lovenetworking and building bridges
    • Can spotopportunities, kick start new initiatives, motivate stakeholders,and execute a project to success
    • Are a realteam player with an outspoken, constructiveattitude
    • Get things done in an independentmanner but can also keep thehelicopter-view
    • Like working at the edge ofscientific progress and entrepreneurship
    • Arepreferably based in Belgium or willing to relocate in the nearfuture
